Weekend Recap: Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner

Brueton parkrun:

Sizzling Bank Holiday Weekend running in Brueton as Jack Bristow’s 17:34 saw him finish 6th. The first finisher was 9th fastest in the UK on Saturday in 15:23. Paul Bentley took 2nd K&D runner with 19:01 while Jonathon Randell clocked 19:22 to take the K&D third spot.

Our women were led home by Jane Hunt who’s 22:52 scored 81% age grading. Kerry Whitehill took this week’s K&D silver medal in 27:59 while Kate Marsh ran 28:32 following a sore foot last week.

Richard Orriel continued his recent improvements with another PB, dropping his best to 20:54. Top work Richard!

Barrow parkrun:
Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner. Jonathon Bellman took the sweet taste of victory in Barrow. His 19:06 took the first place finishers token. Congrats JB.

Troon parkrun:
No problems keeping in Troon for Claire Maggs as she ran 27:33 at Troon parkrun.

Sheringham parkun:
A parkrun named after former England forward and notable lothario Teddy Sheringham?  Phil Wood (not named after Teddy Sheringham) ran 24:27.

Colby parkrun:
Gareth Wainwright took a long overdue break from Brueton parkrun. We’re beginning to think he actually just lives in Brueton park. Venturing to Colby he still clocked a sub-18, running 17:40 to take be the second man to take the first finishers token this week (although technically the first as he ran quicker than Jonny).

Gedling parkrun:
Gedling for Uber-tourist Kevin Tomkinson who added another parkrun to his growing CV. Kev enjoyed a 29:31 run.

Holkham parkrun:
Wainwright’s on tour as Ainsley clocked up a 20:30 in Holkham.

Torbay Velo parkrun:
Darren John’s lungs gave him trouble again after last weeks promising return to being able to run without wheezing. He ran 21:12 without oxygen. Humpf.

Dolgellau parkrun:
Quickest K&D of the week was Chris Sharp who rounded out three K&D men’s first placers this week. #Dominant. Chris ran 16:58. Not to be left out Flick Sharp ran a swift 20:32 for second woman.
