The traditional end of year cracker returned and it didn’t disappoint as an army of K&D stars tore it up in the fastest road race in the UK. Jump on the train and hold on for dear life Rob Michaelson-Yeates and Rachel Gifford set fire to the paths as they joined the great and good of British distance running. Rob Michaelson-Yates scorched to a superb 32:46 which we believe is a new club 10k record. While Gary Polhill smashed through the 34min barrier running 33:59.
Rocket Rachel led 3 super fast women’s performances. Rach clocked 37:17, Flick Sharp stopped the clock at 39:08 and Amanda O’Leary continued to shine running 40:50.
Other great performances included Greg Turner delivering on a 37:29 and multiple great runs of the Marathon Men clan of Winwood and Co.

London marathon club ballot place winner Stuart Male run the famous Snyed Striders Pudding Run. He earned a top-10 place in a superb 63:49.
Cross Country weekends gives others a chance shine in the parkrun fun. It was an epic race as Paul Bentley led the way in 20:01 but it was a photo finish with Ed Bower given the same time of 20:01. Lloyd Barton in a quirk ran 22:01. Exactly two minutes behind the K&D dippers in the lead.
At 23:15 Louise Bell was K&D’s leading lady. 23:44 was good enough for Jane Hunt to take K&D silver while Kate Leeson in 24:10 rounded out the top-3.
Congratulations to Jason Mallett who made his Breton parkrun debut.
