Weekend Recap: K&D Women Crushing It.

Reminder that The K&D Christmas Party tickets are on Sale. There will be no club training on the 12th so you might as well. You might win. You might even have fun. You will have food. That last one is a promise at least. £20 for a night with your loved ones. Then you can go home to your family.

Brueton parkrun:
Women’s captain Rosie Marsh picked herself a bargain new PB in black friday sales and all it cost her was 20 minutes and 7 seconds of hard work.

Joining her this week was K&D Newbie Steven Whatmore smashed a new PB of 18:09 on the men’s side.

Joe Read, who’s currently on loan to Birmingham Uni ran 16:54 while Gareth Wainwright clocked a solid 17:16 while Steven Whatmore’s PB put him third K&D on the morning.

Rosie Marsh’s new PB put her 1st K&D woman while Monica Green didn’t let her have it all Rosie’s own way as she ran 20:12, Kerry Ann Thompson delivered another superb PB of 21:43 to continue her rapid progress.

Basildon parkrun
Simon Battson was found in Basildon on Saturday morning running 25:00. On the nose.

Worcester Pitchcroft parkrun
Greg Turner continued his strong run of form with a swift 19:34.

Shrewsbury parkrun
Nigel Foster visited the historic market town of Shrewsbury; running 26:50 on his travels.

Ballincollig parkrun
Riina Kuuselo is now officially a K&D athlete again, so it’s another sub 20 woman we can add to our list this year. That’s a barely believable 6 so far with 11 months down of the year…

Fleetwood Promenade parkrun
Fleetwood Mac were actually named after the town on the Fylde Peninsula despite many thinking they were named after the band’s Rhythm Section of Mick Fleetwood and John “Mac” McVie. Peter Green was taken there on holiday by his nan once and bought an ice cream. And while none of that is true it didn’t stop Mary Heald running 22:10. Mary Heald is named after Jesus and the Mary Chain. However her parents correctly concluded Jesus and Chain were innappropriate names for a baby girl.
